Kicking Off Boo Season, 8Trees-Style!
What a weekend! The 8Trees team had an amazing time connecting with families, young explorers, and fellow nature lovers at Boo at the Zoo, hosted by Safari Niagara. We noticed some awesome costumes over the weekend – Mario & Luigi, Spider-Man, Disney Characters (particularly Elsa and Lilo & Stitch) , and K-Pop Demon Hunters were among the most popular!
Between the hundreds of trick or treaters, awesome conversations about all the cool creatures we work with, and hyping up our mystery bag and plushie features, it was great to see so many people curious about wildlife and the natural world right here in Niagara. From tiny turtle fans to super snake admirers, every conversation reminded us why we do what we do — helping ignite that spark of curiosity and care for local wildlife.

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by to meet our team (and Joad the Toad, of course!). Your enthusiasm keeps our outreach programs thriving and helps us grow our mission to blend science, conservation, and education.
A special shoutout to our incredible volunteers and family crew — you made this weekend possible!

We’re already gearing up for next weekend’s Boo at the Zoo. 8Trees will be there on Friday October 10th and Saturday October 11th — so come say ‘hi’, grab a mystery bag, and learn how 8Trees is helping protect Ontario’s species at risk while inspiring the next generation of nature heroes. 🌿
